Agricultural & Equine Project:
Horse Run-In Shed | 32′ x 36′ Post-Frame Shelter
Waddy, Kentucky
Project Overview:
Completed in 2020, this custom 32′ x 36′ post-frame run-in shed in Waddy, Kentucky, was designed to provide horses with convenient shelter and direct access to the surrounding pasture. Open run-in areas create protected space for the animals, while an interior aisle helps connect the enclosed portion of the structure with the pasture.
The building features cream-colored siding paired with a bronze roof for a warm, coordinated exterior. Dual sliding doors on both sides provide multiple access points, while the post spacing was engineered at 9 feet to create generous openings for horses and equipment.

The Building:
Measuring 32′ x 36′, this custom horse shelter combines open run-in space with an enclosed central section designed around everyday equine use. The open side of the building allows horses to move easily between the pasture and covered shelter, while wood interior walls create defined areas within the structure.
A central aisle provides convenient access through the building and helps support movement between the pasture, horses, and stored supplies. Sliding doors positioned on both sides of the enclosed section create additional entry points and make it easier to move equipment or materials in and out as needed.
The cream siding and bronze roof give the exterior a clean agricultural appearance, while the open post-frame design keeps the shelter practical and accessible for day-to-day horse care.
Custom Features:
- 32′ x 36′ Horse Shelter: The custom post-frame structure provides protected space designed around the needs of horses and pasture access.
- Open Run-In Areas: Covered open sections give horses a sheltered place to move in and out of directly from the pasture.
- Dual Sliding Doors: Sliding doors on both sides of the building provide convenient access to the enclosed portion of the structure.
- Interior Aisle: A central aisle helps connect the building’s interior with the surrounding pasture and creates practical access for daily care.
- 9-Foot Post Spacing: Side wall posts were engineered 9 feet apart to provide generous clearance for horses and equipment.
- Wood-Lined Interior: Wood interior walls create durable, defined spaces suited to an equine environment.
- Cream and Bronze Exterior: Cream siding paired with a bronze roof gives the building a coordinated, traditional agricultural appearance.
